Today's weight is 226.4 so the slow painful downward trend continues.
As the weather warms and the days get longer I hope to see some increased weight loss in the coming weeks. Been doing some amazing workouts with CycleFit and by continuing those workouts, adding in more bike rides, and cleaning up my diet a bit more I hope to be below 220 on April 1.
Thanks and enjoy the ride

Mid-week Weigh In
Threw in a special mid-week weigh in since I was not thrilled with my Monday results, and I am glad that I did.
Weight: 226.6
Body Fat: 19.2%
Pretty excited to see these numbers. Now I just need to get below 225 and kiss that number goodbye.
This past week I have been tinkering with my diet, and had planned to go vegan again. Well I have found that that eating lifestyle just does not work for me. I need my protein. So I am working on a quasi-paleo-vegan-hybrid. I will let you know how it works for me.
Workouts this week so far include a 55 mile bike ride and a great indoor Cyclefit class by Cycle Camp USA. It was an arse kicker.
Thanks for reading.

Flat Week
This week I gained a marginal amount of weight 0.4 pounds. Even though this amount is not ideal I am not really surprised by the gain.
With the Super Bowl last weekend, and our annual party we had quite a few delicious treats left over at our house. Even though Tuesday early evening almost all of the leftovers went in the trash, that still left 48 hours where they sang their siren song.
Also due to my schedule I was not able to workout as much as I wanted and only got in one mountain bike ride and one long road ride. Plan to remedy this with a ride today, one tomorrow and another on Sunday. Hopefully Monday's weigh in will show some results.
Current stats;
Weight: 228.6
Body Fat: 19.4%

One Month Check In
A few days late but here are the results of the first month.
Weight lost: 6.2 pounds
Body Fat lost: 1%
Nothing earth shattering but considering we had the end of the NFL season (beer season for me) and a trip to Vegas thrown in I am quite happy with the results. Hope to keep them up and continue this downward trend.
Thanks and enjoy the ride.

Friday Weigh In
Well my 4 days in Las Vegas and the subsequent 2 days of getting re-settled have done some damage to my previous successes.
Today's Weight: 230.8
Body Fat: 20.0%
BMI: 32.6
Overall still encouraged as I am still ahead of my 1 pound per week overall goal. However, I can clearly see how large of a part nutrition is going to play in the success or failure of this plan. (That means no more beer, pizza, and wings the night before a weigh in) and a workout no matter how good can overcome 6 days of the previous lifestyle.
Looks like a salad for lunch and a good workout today to get me on the right track for the weekend.
Thanks and enjoy the ride.

Back at It
After 4 days in Las Vegas to celebrate my birthday it is back at it.
While in Vegas I had three goals: gamble until I could not stay awake any longer, eat whatever, and drink the beers as they were delivered.
Two words: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
Now to see how this will affect my Friday weigh in.
Thanks and enjoy the ride.

2nd Friday Weigh In
Today marks the second Friday weigh in of the year and I dropped a few additional pounds. Usually if you are on a downward slide it is a bad thing, of course this is weight loss so it is actually a plus.
Even though there is a long way to go and much area for stumbling one thing has become clear.
Consistent exercise + smart food choices - the occasional cheat meal (beverage) = results.
My workouts this week:
1/7: Total Conditioning at LifeTime Fitness
1/9: CX Ride in the rain
1/10: Total Conditioning at LifeTime Fitness
And later today since the weather is going to be amazing and 70 degrees here in Austin a nice recovery bike ride.
Cheats this week have included a burger and a couple beers. The real challenge will be not giving up all my hard earned gains in Sin City this weekend.
Wish me luck.
Thanks and enjoy the ride.
